"Successfully bringing a hospitality idea to life takes more than a client, consultant, contractor and a set of drawings — it takes direction and attention to detail."
With a background in architecture and interiors, Bruno spent two decades embedded within some of the world's most demanding luxury hospitality groups — coordinating global design and build teams, managing multi-consultant programmes from sketch to snagging, and learning the discipline from the inside out. That experience, culminating in his roles as Director of Architecture and Interiors at Hakkasan Group and Director of Projects at Time Out Group, shaped both the methodology and ideology behind SixFootEight.
Bruno Veninga founded SixFootEight Ltd to bring Project Direction and Owner's Representation services to the wider premium hospitality industry — the senior expertise owners need when a project demands more than their in-house team can carry, or they don't have an in-house team to begin with!
It's a discipline built on hard-won trust. Bruno in direct employment, and SixFootEight by association, are proud to have been involved with and trusted by brands including Hakkasan Group, Jumeirah Group, Kaja Group, MGM Grande, Time Out Group, Emaar, Aldar, QuadReal Property Group, Westbank Corp, The Crown Estate and The Quint Media — and to keep collaborating with the best architects, engineers and trades in the industry.
Bruno is currently participating in the Emerging CEO course with Imperial College London — developing the frameworks to work directly alongside boards and executive teams to translate their vision into delivered hospitality projects.
Have a hospitality project to bring from dream to reality, but not the in-house expertise or resource? We step in as your professional, on your side of the table.
SixFootEight provides end-to-end Project Direction. We don't just manage a process; we safeguard the vision.
Before a shovel hits the ground, we ensure the idea is buildable and operationally sound.
We identify, vet, and lead the best-in-class team required for premium hospitality.
We review design through the lens of a hospitality veteran — preventing costly post-handover retrofits.
We protect the client during the most capital-intensive phase of the project.
We act as the client's eyes and ears on-site, focusing on quality and intent.
The critical last mile where most projects stumble — and where SixFootEight earns its keep.
We start with your ambition and the brand it has to serve — then pressure-test it into a brief that can actually be built.
We assemble and align the right team, set the programme and budget, and establish the controls that keep everyone moving together.
We lead through construction — resolving the daily decisions, holding quality and cost, and keeping the project on its line.
We drive commissioning and snagging to a clean handover, so you open on time and to standard — ready to trade.
Before launching SixFootEight, Bruno held the role of Director of Projects for Time Out Group, personally directing end-to-end delivery across multiple market openings worldwide — both wholly owned venues and Management Agreements. He led teams through feasibility studies, site assessments, all design stages, construction, pre-opening set up and handover to operations, taking ownership of all consultant, supplier and contractor relationships and alignment with the operational team. On markets delivered by the senior project managers reporting to him, Bruno provided strategic direction and hands-on guidance — setting standards, resolving critical issues and ensuring consistent quality across the portfolio. Following the establishment of SixFootEight in early 2026, Time Out Group was among the firm's first clients — re-engaging Bruno to oversee the completion and operational handover of the Vancouver Market.
Hakkasan
SixFootEight's founder spent nearly six years at Hakkasan Group — rising to Director of Architecture and Interiors — leading restaurant and hospitality projects worldwide from initial concept and feasibility through consultant coordination, construction and handover. Working across the UK, Europe, the US and Asia, the role required close management of global design and build teams, rigorous programme oversight and senior team leadership. It is the experience that defines the owner-side discipline SixFootEight brings to every project today.
A project is only as good as its team. We're proud to work alongside some of the best in the industry.
