Bruno Veninga founded SixFootEight Ltd to bring professional, owner-side Project Direction to the wider premium hospitality industry. The firm exists to fill the gap that too many owners fall into: committing capital to an ambitious project without a senior, experienced professional whose sole job is to protect their interests throughout it.

Bruno's background is not in consultancy — it's in doing. He spent two decades embedded within some of the world's most demanding luxury hospitality groups, directing global design and build teams, managing complex multi-consultant programmes from sketch to snagging, and learning this discipline from the inside out. That experience culminated in his roles as Director of Architecture and Interiors at Hakkasan Group and Director of Projects at Time Out Group — organisations that trusted him to deliver some of the most ambitious hospitality projects of the last decade.

SixFootEight is lean by design. Bruno leads every engagement personally — and brings in the right subject matter experts for each discipline as the project demands, rather than carrying overhead that ends up on your invoice. The result is senior expertise, full attention, and none of the padding.

Delivering Time Out Markets from dream to opening day.

Before launching SixFootEight, Bruno held the role of Director of Projects for Time Out Group, personally directing end-to-end delivery across multiple market openings worldwide — both wholly owned venues and Management Agreements. He led teams through feasibility studies, site assessments, all design stages, construction, pre-opening set up and handover to operations, taking ownership of all consultant, supplier and contractor relationships and alignment with the operational team. On markets delivered by the senior project managers reporting to him, Bruno provided strategic direction and hands-on guidance — setting standards, resolving critical issues and ensuring consistent quality across the portfolio. Following the establishment of SixFootEight in early 2026, Time Out Group was among the firm's first clients — re-engaging Bruno to oversee the completion and operational handover of the Vancouver Market.
